Welcome to Nutrition Facts Info by Cherry Viv! I have created this site to provide essential nutrition facts and information, and a little bit more too!
Nutrition concerns everybody - we are what we eat after all! Yet most people understand little about the food they put into their bodies, and the effects putting in the wrong food can have. I used to be one of these people.
After years of being overweight and thinking I was 'doing all the right things’, those stubborn pounds remained exactly where they were. Eventually this prompted me look at what I ate to pinpoint where I was going wrong.
I started my research on the internet, trawling site after site of so-called nutrition information. I got what I needed in the end, but had wasted a lot of time reading rubbish! I eventually realised that I had been doing everything wrong.
So, I now make sure I eat the right foods, and do what's right for me, and happily those pounds are gone - now it's up to me to make sure they stay away forever!
But I couldn't help feeling dissatisfied about all the misinformation on the net. So I decided to do something to help...

You see, the solution to it all is simple - it’s all about nutrition, and doing what's right for you! It's about eating – not starving – but eating the right things, and omitting the right things too.
So, using the information I found during my research, and the experience I have through having worked many years at a newspaper publisher (I was a sub editor in my ‘other life’), I created Nutrition Facts Info!
I have incorporated what I consider the essential parts of a hugely vast subject, keeping articles accurate and concise. I have also included a few related subjects about nutrition, health and overall wellbeing, and information about all sorts of products that will hopefully be of interest to you!
As I mentioned earlier, nutrition is all about eating so I have also included a few healthy eating ideas in the Recipes section.
If you feel you are not eating the right food but find it difficult to modify your eating habits, or your lifestyle prevents you from eating healthily, you might benefit from complementing your existing diet. Go to the Supplements section for product news and essential facts on ingredients - you want to know what you're putting into your body, after all.
We all have different metabolisms, so incorporating a fitness regime into a healthy eating plan could make a big difference to how your body processes food. The Health & Fitness section explains this in more detail.
